Leveraging on AI technology and the unity of Malaysians from all walks of life, CelcomDigi Berhad (CelcomDigi), proudly introduces Malaysia’s first crowdsourced AI-generative National Day film titled ‘Projek My Malaysia’, which redefines how Malaysians tell their story of what “Malaysia” means to them.
For this year’s National Day celebration, CelcomDigi reached out to Malaysians from its rich, diverse culture and backgrounds, to co-create their vision of a better Malaysia not only for themselves, but also their families and community. Utilising generative AI, an innovative tool capable of crafting content from text, images, or videos, they were able to reimagine scenes and transform scenes of a film depicting modern-day Malaysia. These reimagined unique perspectives were then infused through generative AI tools into the ‘Projek My Malaysia’ film.
The film subtly addresses everyday social nuances that Malaysians experience without noticing, such as civic responsibility, respect and looking out for one another, as well as common courtesies amongst one another. Additionally, the film also highlights ongoing environmental impacts such as wildlife conservation, deforestations, littering and many more, which may affect the livelihoods of our future generations.
Inspired under the spirit of unity, CelcomDigi’s aspiration to be the nation’s top telco-tech organisation and core value of being stronger together continues to demonstrate the strengths of Malaysians coming together, as previously showcased during Hari Raya and East Malaysian Gawai and Kaamatan festivals in 2023. This pioneering spirit continues to light up CelcomDigi’s journey towards connecting individuals through technology and innovation to bridge gaps and enhance livelihoods across the nation. With an unwavering commitment to innovation, CelcomDigi, serving over 20 million customers across the nation, looks forward to creating new worlds and frontiers, inspired by Malaysians’ aspirations.
